Three archaeology trenches have been opened up this week at Bothwell Castle. Historic Scotland are digging there this week and will be there until Saturday 20th June at 4pm. The dig team have already found pottery, some as old as 700 years and continue to make daily finds this week. The public are invited along on Saturday to see the weeks results.
