Lanarkshire pupils are in for a treat getting an additional day off school in May due to the European Elections.
With Brexit delayed and European Elections now required, schools and halls give themselves over as polling stations on Thursday 23rd May 2019, giving pupils another day off.
Seems like schoolkids have been off most of April (pupils may not agree!). Schools are off Monday 6th May Day and the next day, Tuesday 7th May ‘in service’ day. They’re also off on Friday 24th and Monday 27th May, which combined now with Thursday 23rd now extends that holiday.
