Complaints about inconsiderate parking near the junction of Main Street and Broompark Road have been upheld with the solution earlier this week of double yellow lines.
Parking has now been restricted on both sides of the road at the junction. Contractors acting for SLC briefly told us last week, “A few places in Blantyre will be getting yellow lines. This area was getting blocked at rush hour times by vehicles, mostly cars bumped up on the pavements and some people had complained.”
