Haven Afternoon Tea Success

Afternoon Tea for 120 in aid of The Haven.

The Haven, a registered charity which provides support to people affected by a range of life limiting illness and to their family members and carers, hosted their annual Afternoon Tea in The Parkville, Blantyre on Sunday, 9thJune.

Haven supporters from Lanarkshire and beyond enjoyed an Afternoon Tea filled with good food, friends and entertainment. Sandwiches, scones, shopping and singing were all part of the hugely successful afternoon which raised over £2000, and counting, in aid of The Haven.

Lynsay Cooper, Communications Officer at The Haven said: “It was a pleasure to host the Afternoon Tea once again and see a blend of old and new supporters attending. Together Haven staff, volunteers and a team from First Direct Hamilton supported the event and ensured guests had a wonderful experience.

“With the opportunity to shop at some unique stalls and enjoy music from the voluntary ensemble the Jolly’s B, our guests all left in high spirits.

“We cannot thank everyone who attended and supported enough and the monies raised on the day will go directly to supporting families facing the challenges of life limiting illness in this local community.”
