A body of a male was unfortunately found in Blantyre earlier this morning.
Emergency vehicles rushed to the scene at the end of Station Road ,Blantyre just before 9am this morning, Thursday 7 November 2019.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “At around 7.55am on Thursday, November 7, the body of a man was discovered near Station Road, Blantyre. A post-mortem examination will take place in due course to establish the exact cause of death, however there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances. A full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
We received many messages about this today but chose deliberately to wait for an official comment this lunchtime from police. We have also chosen not to name the man at this time in the interests of giving his family some privacy. Our thoughts are with them all at this sad time.
