Blantyre lady, Helen Thomson has raised a whopping £3,420 for Worldwide Cancer research after having her hair shaved off
She organised an event at Blantyre Old Parish Church yesterday on Saturday 1st February 2020 as a fantastic fundraiser.
Helen told us, “My husband supported me by getting a #1 haircut. What an amazing day!!! Such a massive amount of support from so many family and friends.“
She added, “Thank you a million times over to everyone who made today such a success.”
Cancer is something affecting many families. On 8 September 2019 her mother, Suzanne, was diagnosed with Colon and secondary Liver Cancer. She had to have a section of her Colon removed along with the tumour that was blocking it.
Helen is hoping this post will raise awareness of the charity and help raise further funds. Well done to Helen, family and friends in all their amazing efforts.
