Whilst out walking at the weekend, a local man noticed a pothole in the carriageway. Nothing unusual there then. However, this one was certainly unusual!
When he looked more closely at the hole in Kerr Street, Low Blantyre, he noticed a large void below it and indeed, he could put his whole walking stick down into it without touching the bottom!
Concerned that the rain may have compromised the ground, he phoned the council not expecting any action given Kerr Street is not an adopted road.
