Amidst this turbulent times, life goes on and a marked celebration took place today in Blantyre.
James (Jimmy) McManus celebrated his 90th birthday today (21st March). Jimmy was pub landlord in Papa Franks and The Silver Tassie many moons ago and we’re sure many folk will know who he is.
His wife Sheena and kids Bernadette, Paul and Martin as well as his grand kids Liza, Katie, Hannah, Andrew, Sarah- Jane and Marcus as well as an army of great grand kids would like to wish him a very happy birthday!
Most of his family are unable to see him today due to the crazy events this week but he and Sheena are very much in their thoughts. Despite their distance, the family all raise a glass to toast the Original Gentleman a happy birthday.
