We can confirm tonight that a 25-year-old man has now been arrested following the report of a serious sexual assault in Bothwell.
The incident took place between 5.45pm and 7.30pm on Wednesday, 20 May, 2020 when a teenage girl was approached by a man who sexually assaulted her near to the Clyde Walkway.
The man had been spotted earlier on CCTV wearing a red t shirt , blue shorts, with shaven head and on a very distinctive black bike with neon writing and mudguards.
Enquiries remain ongoing.
