Graham’s Rainbow

A fundraising page has been created in memory of murdered Blantyre man Graham Williamson.

‘Graham’s Rainbow’ was founded by the popular man’s partner AmandaJane McGuire and gained over 1k followers in its first evening.

The 26 year old said: “I want Graham’s memory to remain very much alive. I want his story to be heard and his memory to forever be remembered.”

The Facebook page was inspired by Graham’s previous charitable work for Chris’s House after losing his best friend to suicide.

‘Graham’s Rainbow’ aims to raise funds for FAMS, which gives support for individuals affected by murder, suicide, or other mental health issues.

AmandaJane has praised the support given to her and her son Harris by FAMS and said: “they are always there when we need them, no matter what time of day. I would be seriously lost without them.”

The mother of one has also given thanks to her friends, family and the local community who have been “an absolute Godsend”.

The fundraising page has big plans to raise funds in Graham’s name including a sponsored walk to Ibrox, a skydive, charity football matches and a rainbow walk where positive messages and helpline numbers will be left at suicide spots in the area.

AmandaJane is determined to keep the memory of Harris’s dad alive and said: “Graham was taken from us, so it’s pushed me further to finish what he started and continue to raise as much money as possible in his name.”
