Planning has been granted by South Lanarkshire Council for the erection of 20 new cottage flats with associated parking, vehicular access and landscaping at the bottom of Church Street.
Site clearance has taken place earlier in the year, the week before lockdown. The decision has been given the green light, a surprising announcement considering the amount of objections about the lack of parking on nearby Church Street. The proposals will have an entrance from Church Street with no access from Logan Street.
The new proposal will see the private flats built from Glasgow Road using all the vacant space, right up to Terminal One in a U shape. The homes will be built by developer, Glenesk Homes.
