Different Sort of Day Forecast

Well, it may have topped 29 degrees today in Scotland, but it’s goodbye to heat like that as things are already starting to cool down. In fact, weather will be very different tomorrow.

An end to the tap water problems is in sight as some rain is forecast, greatly needed to top of Central Scotland’s reservoirs. Showers and thunderstorms have been forecast for all of mainland Scotland tomorrow, bringing to an end a mini-heatwave.

The Met Office has already issued a Yellow warning between 10am to 8pm on Thursday, with a risk of travel disruption likely, with showers on and off throughout the rest of the day.

With this sudden rain, there is a risk of flooding which could also cause some road closures, with the Scottish Environment and Protect Agency (SEPA) issuing five flood ‘alerts’.
