This is poor “Lumi”, a Blantyre dog who was sadly injured on broken glass at Redlees Urban Park this week.
Lumi’s paw was badly cut on broken bottles near the former AA Battery, locally referred to these days as ‘the Barracks’, within the park just off Blantyre Ferme Road. It’s unknown how so much broken glass and smashed bottles recently came to litter the ground making it so dangerous for dog walkers and their pets. This poor dog’s wellbeing affected by some idiot’s careless actions.
The glass was strewn throughout the nearby grass too, not just contained on paths. Please be careful if walking with pets in this park. We wish Lumi a speedy recovery.
