Energy Tariffs Set to Fall

Gas and electricity prices are set to fall slightly as Winter approaches.

Ofgem is expected to reveal a -7% reduction in the energy cap, the maximum charges, which should for each household drop from an average £2,074 to £1,925. The figure will be the lowest the cap has been since the invasion of Ukraine in Springtime 2022.

Whilst welcome news that it’s going in the right direction, the arrival of winter undoubtably brings more usage, so it’s a warning too that bills are unfortunately likely to remain high for everybody well into next year.
