Remembering Stuart Tallis

It is with great sadness that we learned of the sudden and peaceful passing of local man, Stuart Tallis on 12th August 2025.

Stuart’s passing comes only thirteen weeks after the loss of his much-loved brother Jim (Argus) leaving the family heartbroken once again. He was a dearly loved brother to Billy, who is devastated by this loss, and a cherished partner to Kim, who mourns him deeply.

Stuart loved life. He had a wonderful gift for humour and could light up any room with his laughter and presence. One of his happiest places was the Cawder, where he enjoyed spending time and making memories with friends and loved ones.

The suddenness of Stuart’s passing has been a great shock to all who knew him. Our thoughts are especially with his brother Billy and family, and with his partner Kim, who are deeply saddened by this heartbreaking loss.

Stuart will always be remembered for his kindness, his humour, and the love he gave so freely. His memory will live on in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege to know him. A cherished friend to many, Stuart will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Stuart was laid to rest last week on Wednesday the 27th August 2025 . May he rest in peace.
“He may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.”
