Weather Outlook

Thunder and lightning storms have rolled into Central Scotland this evening. Tonight will see rather cloudy skies and showers, some heavy and not ideal if you’re wanting to catch the last of the Northern Lights. Later in the night, it should become dry with occasional clear spells breaking through.

Monday

Tomorrow morning will stay largely dry and rather cloudy. In the afternoon, a few isolated showers will develop, particularly in the west. A touch cooler under gentle winds. Temperatures will remain fairly high.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday

An easterly to south-easterly flow will prevail throughout the period, but strong winds are not expected. On Tuesday, due to the presence of low pressure to the south of the UK, it will be cloudy with outbreaks of rain. A drier interlude on Wednesday, with variable cloud and just a few spots of rain. Thursday looks set to become more unsettled, with a growing risk of showers.

Weather is expected to improve again towards next weekend.
