We were absolutely delighted to once again be invited along to Terminal One’s & Blantyre Youth Development Team’s 33rd Annual General Meeting. It’s an evening in our Blantyre social calendar we always look forward to and this year, again….it didn’t disappoint.
What a wonderful evening we’ve just had tonight, Wednesday 13th November at Blantyre Miners Welfare, as local youth showcased their musical and dancing talents. Another fantastic AGM and fast paced show which left the audience thrilled, very proud and thoroughly entertained by piano playing, drummers, singers and dancers!
Just before food was handed out at the interval, there was a solemn moment as Project Manager Andy McCafferty warned of the real risk of terminal one closure early next year. (More on that later in the week).
Meantime, celebrating success and talent, we’ll be posting some videos of some of the featured acts from Blantyre and surrounding areas over the next couple of days. Of course it was the young people themselves who were the stars of the show!
Well done to everybody involved and for making this a tremendous success and of course to all the volunteers who give up their precious time all in the cause to promote and help young people!
