We were shocked and saddened to learn of the sudden death of Angela McTier, from Blantyre, who sadly passed away on 22nd July after becoming unwell. Angela was returning from a holiday in Alicante, Spain. She was only 48 and has left behind many who love her deeply including her partner, kids and grandkids.
A fundraiser has now been launched to support her devastated family in bringing her home to Scotland for a proper farewell.
The GoFundMe page states:
“We are just looking to take a bit of stress off Angela’s family to bring her home and let her get laid to rest. Any donations at all would be greatly appreciated.”
So far, over £4,500 has been raised in a heartfelt show of community support.
A spokesperson for the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office said:
“We are supporting the family of a British woman who died in Spain.”
