A great event on until Christmas Eve, 24th December 2025! The New Lanark World Heritage Site is transformed into a truly magical festive village, packed with sparkle, laughter and unforgettable family moments.

Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Clyde Valley, New Lanark feels like a giant toy factory frozen in time, creating the perfect setting for a Christmas experience designed especially for children aged 1–8 and their families. This year’s Christmas Experience 2025 promises festive wonder at every turn, blending history, imagination and seasonal fun.

What’s included in your ticket?

Visit with Santa – Meet Santa in his beautifully decorated grotto, share Christmas wishes and receive a special gift.
Pantomime: Alice in Scottieland – A 45-minute, laugh-out-loud festive pantomime by Arkeen Theatre Company, full of music, humour and Scottish charm.
Spirit of Christmas Ride – Board the much-loved Annie McLeod Dark Ride, specially re-imagined to take you on a magical journey through the story of Christmas.
Christmas Movies – Cosy up in the cinema with festive family favourites showing throughout the day.
Indoor Soft Play Area – A fun-filled space designed for little adventurers aged 1–8.

Optional Extras
Step outside into the Outdoor Fun Fair, featuring traditional festive rides and attractions (small additional charge applies).

Food, shopping & more
The Café and Mill Shop will be open throughout the event for festive treats and Christmas shopping, while visitors can also explore the historic buildings and rooftop garden.
