Works Van broken into

A works van was broken into in the early hours of this morning in Devondale Avenue, Coatshill Blantyre.

Sometime between 2am and 8am a workmans van was broken into with thieves making off with the mans tools, needed for his livelihood. Amongst things stolen was a table saw (de-walt) worth £2,000 and screw guns (Nikita) and Sanders. It is thought they may have had a vehicle nearby given the weight and amount of equipment taken.

They drilled a hole just under the lock to get in and also tried a neighbouring vehicle, unsuccessfully.

A reminder to be vigilant and look out for neighbours and their vehicles. This sort of crime always seems to be apparent on these darker nights.

Police were called. Do you know more or have CCTV or perhaps heard of if anyone selling this stuff? You can give more information to police anonymously on Crimestoppers.
