Blantyre is to receive public EV charging points.
Planning permission has been submitted to South Lanarkshire Council for the installation of 4 brand new EV charging points at ‘Blantyre Services’, the Petrol Filling Station at East Avenue, Blantyre Industrial Estate, High Blantyre.
Work, commissioned by owners, “Euro Garages”, not only includes vehicle charging bays within illuminated archways, but also associated ancillary power infrastructure. These bays are planned for the far north eastern vacant end of the site, on ground which had previously been designated for a potential drive through. It’s thought the fast charging bays will be of similar type to these pictured.
Planning decision has yet to be made. Planning ref P/23/0829.
