Blantyre United Football Club are pleased to announce the latest signing ahead of the 2024-25 season as central defender, Morgan Hastings, joins the club.
‘Mo’ is a young defender who has been playing the game since the age of 4 and has played for Paisley based outfit Glenvale up until the age of 20.
Mo has progressed all the way through the levels and age groups at Glenvale and finished his time with the club as part of the first team squad as Glenvale entered the WOSFL.
Mo’s time at Glenvale culminated with a league winners medal as the squad won the WOSFL 4th Division title in 2023-24.
Mo has been out of the game a little while but is back involved with us here at Blantyre United.
Manager, Alan Dunsmore, said this about his newest recruit: “Mo is a young defender but has a presence and physicality about him and is also able to play technically and the way we want to. I’m looking forward to getting him involved more and fitting in with the boys.”
New man, Mo, said this: “After being out for quite a while, looking forward to getting back to it with the boys and winning some trophies.”
