Police officers were called to Palace Grounds Hamilton last night on Wednesday, December 18, around 7.30pm. Officers say they received a report of a collision involving a motor and a pedestrian.
After that, the pedestrian, a 14-year-old boy, was taken to hospital. It is understood he was left with a broken ankle after the crash.
Investigations were carried out. However, the crash was not deemed to be the driver’s fault, and no further action was taken.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police were called to Palace Grounds Road, Hamilton, at 7.30pm on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, after reports of a collision involving a car and pedestrian.
“Enquiries are complete with no further police action.”
We’re thinking of the teenager tonight and hope he’s making a good recovery. Thinking also of the driver, who although unhurt at not at fault, must have been left concerned and shaken.
