Signs are up this week at the West End, Blantyre advertising retail units to let.
The former West End Bar is being transformed into several small shops with contractors currently working on roof repairs and making the building watertight again. Though there’s a much needed requirement at that side of Blantyre for more shops, (especially convenience shops), there is clearly concern in the neighbourhood about the lack of parking facilities at such a busy location, as evidenced by comments today to our Live Chat group.
We hope some varied, new exciting business move into these premises and would be even better if they bring new jobs for the area too. Will be keeping you updated on progress as we learn more.
