A new chapter is beginning on Glasgow Road as the former West End Bar is set to be transformed into a Nisa Local convenience store. The new shop, much needed in a part of Blantyre which is currently lacking convenience.
The NISA team behind the project told us earlier today:
“We have taken on the old West End Bar site and wanted to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves. We’ll be transforming the pub into Nisa Local Blantyre. This is our Instagram page, where we’ll be sharing updates, offers, and news as we move towards opening.”
Part of the Nisa Local family, the store promises to bring everyday essentials, fresh produce, household items, and weekly deals – all while focusing on friendly service and great value for money.
The development will also create new job opportunities and aims to become a trusted neighbourhood store where locals feel welcome.
👉 Work on site begins next week, with the store expected to open its doors in just two months.
