Starting July 1, ScotRail will implement a £10 minimum fare for passengers boarding without a valid ticket. An education period will allow three months for people to adapt to this change, with staff reminders in place until then. More details, including exemptions, are available on their website.

SPT Withdrawing 230 Bus: Community Response in Blantyre
SPT are withdrawing the 230 bus service which connects Silvertonhill, Hamilton, and Coatshill. The cuts, which were not advised in advance to Councillors, are expected to take effect around late March 2026 and will affect vulnerable residents in Blantyre at Coatshill.
