Absolutely delighted to hear that JMB Travel have made the following announcement about the reinstatement of the 230 bus.
NEW Service 230 will link Coatshill in Blantyre, and parts of Silvertonhill, with Hamilton Town Cente and Palace Grounds Retail Park.
The service will operate every 40-minutes between 9am and 2pm on Mondays to Fridays.
JMB commented, “We are pleased to be re-instating this service in response to representations from local elected community representatives, after it was withdrawn by SPT back in March.”
The frequency and timetable have changed slightly, and hopefully with the Scottish Government’s £2 fare cap, bus patronage will increase and the Saturday timetable can be restored.
According to JMB Travel, the bus will leave Carlowrie Avenue at 9:05am, 9:45am, 10:25am, 11:05am, 11:45am, 12:25pm, 1:05pm, 1:45pm and 2:25pm; and depart from the Blantyre shops five minutes after these times.
Well done to everybody involved in overturning and reinstating this service.
