If you ever “Go Live” with video on Facebook, you may want to read this!
Starting, yesterday, 19th February, your live videos will only be on Facebook for 30 days, before being automatically deleted. This applies to both business and personal profiles.
Meta is freeing up storage and made the announcement. Live videos currently older than 30 days will be removed from Facebook. Before your archival live videos are deleted, you will be notified by email and in the app, and from then you’ll have 90 days to download or transfer your content.
When people “go live”, the video is uploaded to Facebook, rather than your mobile device, so this important change will likely have many people scrambling to download their content before it’s permanently deleted.
