Megan McKenna works for Macmillan Improving the Cancer Journey, South Lanarkshire.
She told Blantyre Telegraph earlier today, “We offer non clinical support to people affected by a cancer diagnosis. This can range from financial and practical to emotional support.”
“I will now be based in the Blantyre LIFE centre every Thursday afternoon operating a drop in service where people can pop in and see me without an appointment. For existing clients and also new people looking for more information about the service.”
Megan will also be facilitating a peer support group once per month, where anyone affected by cancer can attend. (Dates to be confirmed very soon)
Just to confirm this service is for anyone living in and around the Blantyre area affected by their own cancer diagnosis or family members and care givers affected by someone else’s cancer.
