A particularly disruptive road closure for Blantyre is coming next week.
Blantyre Farm Road will be closed between Townfoot Farm (just past Redlees park turnoff) and Jura Drive from 00.01 am on Monday 26 May until 5pm on Sunday 20 July for roundabout construction works.
Yes, you read that right, Blantyre Farm Road will be completely closed for 55 days! The Diversion is unfortunately long via Blantyre Farm Road, A724 Glasgow Road, A724 Burnbank Road, Almada Street, B7071 Bothwell Road, Hamilton Road, Main Street Bothwell, Uddingston Road, Main Street Uddingston, B7071 Glasgow Road and Blantyre Farm Road or alternatively coming back from Glasgow via Cambuslang.
