If you commute over the back road to Uddingston, you may be interested to know that Blantyre Farm Road will be closed at Haughhead Bridge from this Wednesday 29th October….. for 3 weeks.
Following the accident at the weekend there, the road will be closed from East Haughhead to Clydeneuk Lodge, (effectively the area immediately opposite both sides of the bridge). The bridge is being closed for emergency repairs and is not expected to reopen again until Wednesday 19th November.
The closure comes not long after Blantyre Farm Road was recently closed due to roadworks.
Diversions will be in place on Blantyre Farm Road, A724 Glasgow Road, A724 Burnbank Road, Almada Street, Bothwell Road, Hamilton Road, Main Street, Bothwell Road, Main Street, Glasgow Road, Blantyre Farm Road.
