It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of
Aliceanne Mac Corgarry, aged 56, on 2nd June 2026, a much-loved partner, sister, and friend whose kindness and generosity touched the lives of so many.
A celebration of Aliceanne’s life will take place at South Lanarkshire Crematorium on Tuesday 16th June at 2pm.
Aliceanne attended John Ogilvie High School before going on to study at Glasgow University. She was a founder member of the Blantyre Youth Development Team, working relentlessly to help establish Terminal One Youth Centre, where she later served as a Youth Worker for many years.
Through her dedication to supporting and encouraging young people in the town, Aliceanne made a lasting difference to countless lives and formed friendships that would last a lifetime.
Despite living with Multiple Sclerosis, Aliceanne faced life’s challenges with remarkable courage, determination and positivity. She was known for her sense of humour and words of wisdom.
Her enthusiasm for helping others left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Family, friends and all who knew Aliceanne are warmly invited to attend and celebrate her life.
In recognition of Aliceanne’s journey with Multiple Sclerosis, the family kindly request no flowers. Instead, donations in her memory may be made to the MS Society.
Aliceanne will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She will be remembered with affection, gratitude and love. Our thoughts with with Aliceanne’s family and friends at this sad time.
