Crossbasket New Hotel & Spa Open Day

Don’t forget, there’s a public consultation drop in event on TODAY, Wednesday 30th October 2019 at Crossbasket Castle, High Blantyre, your chance to see the plans for the brand new hotel and spa!

You can drop in anytime between 2pm and 7pm today to see indicative proposals for the new multi million pound development and of course be able to leave your feedback.

Ahead of planning application, Crossbasket Castle Holdings are asking the public for their opinion and feedback on early design proposals forming part of the statutory planning requirement.

We were recently invited along to a private, advance presentation of the proposals are have to say left, impressed, especially seeing how accessible the development is going to be for everybody. Comments from todays consultation will all be considered for the final design.

Whats planned?

A new 50 bedroom hotel is proposed, not far from the existing Crossbasket building. With a more contemporary feel, the building will be set “into the topography, designed to have minimal impact on the landscape.

The hotel will also have a purpose built luxury spa, which will be made available to guests AND to the general public put at affordable prices (as will accommodation be!). The spa will have changing rooms, treatment room, chill out rooms and a cafe.

The building will also have a gym and pool. Additionally, it will be open to the general public and NOT reserved only for guests. Visitors will be able to use the facilities upon availability.

We also learned that it will include a bar and ‘affordable’ restaurant, pitched away from and somewhat different from the fine dining experience nearby at Crossbasket. The restaurant and bar will be in an entertainment setting with the possibility of bands and themed nights, offering a great place for a night out.

It’s all at a very early stage, designs only indicative as our exclusive first look shows. But don’t take our word for it! Get yourself along to Crossbasket today and find out for yourself. We’ll be following this story closely over the coming couple of years.

Plans should be submitted soon and if approved construction is expected to begin next year.

You have until 21st November 2019 to submit feedback.
