First real inclement weather of Winter this morning as people awake to snowfall in Lanarkshire.
This was the scene at High Blantyre at 7.30am, as the snow started this morning, Saturday 23rd November 2024. It’s now on fairly heavy, forecast right through the morning, so local roads and paths may be difficult.
However, it shouldn’t last.
A thaw is expected by the afternoon as snow turns to rain and should start to melt away. Be aware snow is expected to lie particularly in higher areas. Weather warnings for heavy rain and high winds are also in place across the UK.
