Much of Scotland has woken up this morning to some significant snowfall.
Snow was falling over Blantyre after 5am this morning and at time of writing is falling heavy and now covering the ground. Roads and pavements are likely going to be difficult for anybody making a commute this morning.
However, despite this, it seems we’ve escaped the worst of Storm Christoph.
The weather amber warning for snow raised by the Met Office last night for the East and South of Scotland has also hit parts of South Lanarkshire. Up to 12 inches of snow has fallen in South East Scotland overnight, the east of the country affected the most.
Snow will be confined only to high ground later today as temperatures once again rise. Stay safe folks, wrap up! Have a good Thursday.
