British Empire Medal for Maggie’s Supporter

Maggie’s is delighted to celebrate the incredible achievement of local woman, Lorraine McInnes, who has been awarded the British Empire Medal (BEM) in recognition of her outstanding contribution to fundraising through her long-running Just Dance event.

For the past 13 years, Lorraine has dedicated her time, passion, and energy to organising the Just Dance event, raising an extraordinary £700,000 in support of Maggie’s and its vital work for people affected by cancer. Her commitment and enthusiasm have been truly inspirational, helping to provide life-changing support for countless individuals and families.

Mark Cooper, Head of Fundraising at Maggie’s, expressed his gratitude for Lorraine’s tireless efforts:
