George Square Glasgow Renovation Sneak Peek

After being closed off to the public in April, a sneak peek is available showing what’s behind the hoarding at George Square, Glasgow.

Work is ongoing as part of an 18 month renovation of the popular city square with statues removed and earthworks already commenced. Plans include planting new trees to make the space more ‘green’ and the replacement of tarmac with stone slabs. New walkways and benches are also planned.

Some of the statue positions will change and raised lawns will also be a feature.
