Keep Fireworks to November 5th: A Call for Compassion

As we approach the 5th November, let’s keep in mind there’s really no need for fireworks being randomly set off in the preceding days or days after. Let’s be mindful of what the noise of fireworks can do to animals.

For example, you may remember this awful video from last year showing ‘Charlie’ the greyhound shaking in fear as fireworks go off outside. A devastating example of the toll this can take on pets.

Some well organised, major fireworks displays are already past with people enjoying themselves for a few hours. Though we hope everybody sincerely enjoys the fireworks this coming Wednesday 5th November, we hope people are also mindful to limit setting off fireworks in residential areas at all other times.
