Greenhall Dog Attack

On Friday 9th July 2015, Mark Dell and his fiancee Moira McKenna were walking their dog in Greenhall Park, High Blantyre, when suddenly they were approached by a German Shepherd dog, off the lead. The couples whippet Rosie then sustained a repeated attack with the German Shepherd biting repeatedly.

Rosie, was taken to a nearby vet and operated on being put under general anaesthetic. The couple also faced a large vet bill.  This week, Inspector Scott McCarren of Hamilton Police commented, “A 50 year old female has been reported to the procurator fiscal in connection with an incident in Blantyre on July 9th, under the Dangerous Dogs Act”
