We’re receiving complaints that Wheelie bins are being stolen (again) around the village area and John Street area in Blantyre.
One local resident told us that kids are stealing bins and taking them down the River Clyde nature walk. The resident added, “We have just had a bin stolen and I’ve reported it to the police and got it all on camera. I’d just like to warn other people round about.”
Other complaints have been received in recent weeks. A reminder, that there’s not much we can do about this and it’s a disorder matter which should be reported to police.
This had also been happening last year and may be connected to the same youths. Bizarre given the amount of doorbell CCTV in the Village these days. If anybody witnesses people stealing others property, they should contact police in the first instance.
