We’re hearing that Blantyre Farm Road (Blantyre Ferme) is closed off this morning.
Reports are coming in that the Blantyre Farm Road is closed at the Haughhead Sandstone bridge over the River Clyde. Access from the Uddingston side is closed off.
Signage shows a police incident is taking place. Though unsure what’s happened, access is only from the Blantyre/ Newton side, being able to access businesses such as the Clydeway Golf Range and Unleash the Dogs, but unable to continue on across the bridge to Uddingston. Some vehicles are having to turn back and diversions will be lengthy.
