Candidates for Forthcoming Election

Candidates standing in South Lanarkshire have been confirmed for the forthcoming election, with polling taking place from 7am to 10pm on Thursday 7 May 2026.

For those resident in the constituency of Uddingston and Bellshill, this will be administered by North Lanarkshire Council.

For this election, voters will be given two ballot papers – a constituency ballot paper (lilac colour) to elect a person to be your constituency member and a regional ballot paper (peach colour) to elect a regional member.

The Glasgow South Region will be administered by Glasgow City Council and candidates can be found on their website.

The South Scotland Region will be administered by Dumfries and Galloway Council and candidates can be found on their website.
