Counting is complete for our area and the election results for Rutherglen and Cambuslang have been announced!
The SNP are declared the winners of the constituency vote for this area, retaining Clare Haughey as MSP for the area. Congratulations go out to Clare and her colleagues on a hard fought campaign.

With 44,969 votes, Clare obtained 44.2% of the vote share, followed by Monica Lennon representing Scottish Labour with 9,125 votes and 26.9% of the votes. Third was Reform’s Allan Lyons with 6,168 votes at 18.2%. The Lib Dems got 1,833 votes, Conservatives 1,321 and the Scottish Trade unionst and Socialist Coalition with 467 votes.
Turnout was 52.2%.
