The results are all now in…..
💛 SNP: 58 seats
❤️ Labour: 17 seats
🩵 Reform UK: 17 seats
💚 Green: 15 seats
💙 Tories: 12 seats
🧡 Lib Dems: 10 seats
The SNP has an emphatic win but again short of an overall majority for power, losing -6 seats overall. Labour not having the results hoped for. Big gains by Reform, the Greens and Lib Dems, who for first time since devolution lost Shetland to the SNP. Tory vote further collapsing in Scotland, though strongholds in the north east and borders continue.
Interesting times for the future at Holyrood and we hope such fractious politics and introduction of new parties doesnt mean things will take longer to debate and actioned.
As is the case in Wales and Northen Ireland now, Scotland is led by a Nationalist Party. With 3 of the 4 UK Nations having agenda for their Independence.
Congratulations to all the candidates who secured seats and indeed well done to everybody who stood in this election for all their efforts.
