Polls Close across Scotland, Wales and England

Polls for elections across England, Scotland, and Wales have now closed at 22:00 BST

In Scotland and Wales, voters have been deciding who will govern their countries, with all seats in their national parliaments being contested. In England, voting was for about 5,000 seats across 136 councils, as well as six mayoral contests. There are no elections in Northern Ireland until May 2027.

Unlike the general election, there are no counts during the night, though some are taking place in England. Here in Scotland, we’ll need to wait until tomorrow until the results come in.

We’ve been polling all this week with a good number of people taking part. How did our own poll end up? More on that shortly.
