Scotrail have announced disruption on the Glasgow Central to Newton lines. Due to works taking place on the railway verges, disruption is taking place today, Sunday 16th August 2026. Trackworks will take place affecting the Cathcart Circle and Glasgow Central to Neilston and Newton routes

All trains on these routes are cancelled
Passengers can use alternate train services at the following stations:
- Barrhead
- Crossmyloof, Pollokshaws West, Giffnock, Clarkston
- Newton, Cambuslang, Rutherglen for journeys via Glasgow Central Low Level
Passengers with valid rail tickets can use the McGill’s 3 or 66 bus from Neilston for journeys or connections to Barrhead and Glasgow
