Councillors have approved plans for a new neighbourhood hall and retail development in Newton under submission P/25/0988. The project includes various retail units and aims to address local demand for facilities due to increasing housing. The community-backed development will be situated northeast of Westburn Road, but construction start dates are unspecified.
Taylor Wimpey West Scotland has received planning permission for over 200 new homes, completing the Newton Farm masterplan in Cambuslang.
