Our September Fundraising

It’s a new month and the total is in for September fundraising here at Blantyre Telegraph. We’re delighted to announce a very healthy £415.32 was raised for Blantyre good causes!

Added to our overall fundraising total to date, it means Blantyre Telegraph (and its readers) have now raised a whopping £33,759 since the page started in 2011! It’s entirely been given to 213 local good causes, spreading a significant amount of cheer along the way and not one penny was retained by us!

In September, £239.32 was donated to Blantyre toddler Ella Rose, £100 was donated to Laura Thomson towards the High Blantyre new Defibrillator, £36 was spent on children’s gifts (an Art Set for High Blantyre’s Emma Swan and replacing a wee boys lot toy monkey at Priory Bridge) with some still leftover for a Mini Competition last week, where three Blantyre ladies won prizes.

For absolute assurance, not one penny was taken or retained by Blantyre Telegraph. Each organisation and individual award will be able to verify what was received. Our website has been updated with donation and award records, in the interests of full transparency here. https://theblantyretelegraph.com/raised/

In October, we’re raising money for Chase the Rainbow Volunteer Group. Thank you to everybody currently lending their support and making this all possible. You’re the best!
