A lot of Summer activities going on these last few weeks with local organisations. Take for example, 3rd Blantyre Scouts. All sections have been out camping in recent weeks as these brilliant photos show.
15 Beavers enjoyed a weekend camping at Wilkie’s Farm at Bardykes, Blantyre. They hiked, they played games, they made bird feeders and ate smores on the campfire. And the weather was sunny and bright!
The cubs enjoyed a sleepover where they built and put up bird boxes in the local area, completed a hike to Bothwell castle and learned how to light a fire.
In the Scout Section 24 Scouts enjoyed a weekend away camping at Lapwing Lodge where they took part in Archery, Canoeing, Slip n Slide, cooked on an open fire and some slept in shelters they had built themselves.
A great weekend was had by all! Posted with permission.
