The Explorer Scouts from 3rd Blantyre Scout Group recently completed their King’s Scout and Duke of Edinburgh Gold expedition, a challenging four-day trek across the Scottish countryside. The participants demonstrated teamwork and resilience while camping outdoors. All members successfully finished, marking a significant achievement supported by their leaders and volunteers.
The 3rd Blantyre Scouts Spring Fair will take place on Saturday, 30th May, from 10 am to 1 pm at High Blantyre Hall. Entry is £2.50, including a drink and cake. The event features family-friendly activities like archery, a fire engine, and baking, promoting community support and enjoyment for all.
Chloe Fullerton, a member of the 3rd Blantyre Scouts, achieved remarkable milestones by receiving both the Gold Duke of Edinburgh and Kings Scout Awards at the Clyde scouts celebration. She is the first in her group to earn these prestigious honors, showcasing her dedication, skill development, and leadership abilities.
